Nicole Carpenter is the Research Librarian for Social Sciences at University of California, Irvine where she works with various collections, instruction and research projects. Working in librarianship for the last ten years, Nicole has dipped her toe into the inner workings of academic libraries from a career, to community colleges to a research university.

Whether making strides to embed library resources and services in the online environment, or working with campus agencies and initiatives to better communicate library services, Nicole enjoys working with the academic community and working collaboratively to increase awareness, access and lifelong research abilities. Nicole holds an MLIS from San Jose State University and a BA in Sociology from University of California, Santa Cruz.
